A great saint was born on 9th Badhav Shukla, 1551, at Nankana Sahib, in the sacred household of the great saint Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj. From an early age, he displayed exceptional spiritual inclination and intellectual brilliance.
At the tender age of 11, he travelled to Kashmir, where he immersed himself in deep study of the Vedas and Shastras, mastering ancient Indian philosophy and spiritual sciences. Within a remarkably short span of seven years, he authored scholarly commentaries on all four Vedas, collectively known as “Chandra Bhashay”, reflecting profound wisdom and clarity of thought.
Attaining complete spiritual realization at a young age, he emerged as a saint of the highest order. Through his enlightened teachings and ascetic life, he revived and strengthened the Udasin Sect, guiding seekers on the path of renunciation, knowledge, and devotion, and leaving an enduring spiritual legacy.
