Dr Prableen Kour joined as Assistant professor in the Department of Pathology at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital in 2023. She has completed her MD in Pathology from the prestigious Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura in the year 2019, standing first in her class, and subsequently joined the pathology department of GMC Amritsar in 2019 as senior resident, for 3 years.

An adept histopathologist, with work experience ranging from oncopathology, hematopathology, and clinical pathology to autopsy and blood banking. Has a good experience in the interpretation of ancillary techniques like Immunohistochemistry, Flow cytometry, Liquid based cytology and Frozen Section reporting.

Is compassionate, patient-centric, and possess critical thinking and problem solving skills along with meticulous attention to detail for correct patient diagnosis and minimising errors and omissions. A team worker, aiming for interdisciplinary collaboration, and committed to staying updated with rapid advancements like digital pathology and AI-driven tools.

Has teaching experience across multiple disciplines which include students of MBBS, BDS, Lab Technology, Nursing and allied.

Holds lifetime membership of several academic bodies like, Indian Society of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM), Indian Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (ISHBT), International Association of Pathology-Indian Division (IAP-ID), Indian Academy of Cytologists (IAC).

Has a keen interest in research with several publications in indexed and peer-reviewed journals.

Has good oration skills with active participation in seminars, inter-deprtmental meets, tumor-board discussions. Actively attending CMEs, conferences and professional meets.
