Anaesthesiology (or Anesthesiology) is the medical specialty focused on patient care before, during, and after surgery, administering anesthesia to prevent pain, manage life functions (breathing, heart rate, etc.), and ensure safety, also encompassing intensive care, critical care, pain management, and resuscitation. Anesthesiologists are doctors who manage pain relief and critical care, overseeing patient health from pre-op assessment to post-op recovery, using various techniques to keep patients stable and comfortable.
